A vehicle fleet management firm is to create 60 jobs as part of a major expansion both in the UK and overseas.

Total Motion, of Leicester, is hoping the growth push will see turnover soar from £17 million to £30 million over the next three years.

The company has just invested £750,000 on larger premises at Meridian Business Park, Braunstone.
The new site will see it quadruple its floorspace to 6,000 sq ft when it relocates there from two buildings in Westbridge Close in April.

The family-owned business, which was founded in 1999, manages a comprehensive portfolio of outsourced fleet management vehicles and boasts over 200 clients across the UK, Europe, South America and Australia.

The business, which currently employs 40 people, plans to broaden its customer base and it has secured a new multi-million pound funding package from Barclays to help achieve this.

Managing director Simon Hill said: “We have doubled our turnover in the past three years. We have also doubled our staff numbers.

“We are moving to a new 6,000 sq ft head office at Harcourt Way, Meridian Business Park.

“We are looking to increase our staff over the next three years to 100 and we are looking to go to £30 million turnover.”

Mr Hill, who runs the business with his wife Caroline, said the aim was for the majority of the growth in turnover would come from the UK. He said there would be a big focus on attracting customers in Leicestershire.

“We have been able to save our clients a combined £190 million by managing their vehicle fleets and just this year we have appeared in 31st position in the Fleet Management Top 50 Index which is the benchmark for our industry,” he said.

Richard Parker, relationship director at Barclays in Leicester, said: “Simon and Caroline have a clear focus about the direction in which they want to take the business.”
